The Visual Arts and Research Center opened in the heart of Nicosia in 2014. It is home to diverse collections that include paintings, antique costumes, and memorabilia related to Cyprus and its neighboring countries. The center also includes a library and research center that contains within it more than 5,000 volumes available to scholars and regular readers alike. The museum hosts workshops, seminars, films on screens, and multimedia presentations. The museum has a restaurant and a rooftop terrace. Visitors can enjoy tiled roofs, historic palm trees, countless churches, mosques and ancient monuments of Nicosia close to the museum site. .
