The Central Mongolian Museum was established in order to preserve and document cultural heritage by the decision issued in 2013 by the Government of Mongolia, which is concerned with the research and publicity of ancient fossil discoveries, the enrichment of museum exhibitions, and the formation of database records of ancient discoveries and their open display to the public. At present, the museum houses many permanent and temporary exhibitions, such as "Te Bator Dinosaur Comes Home", "Te Bator Dinosaur in Darkan", "Amazing Exhibits", "Animatronic Dinosaur", "Wonders of the Cretaceous Period", and "Cretaceous aquatic animals".
