The CEC Palace or the Palace of the Savings Bank occupies a distinguished place among the prominent buildings in the capital, Bucharest, both in terms of its architecture and the role of the institution it hosts. Built in 1900, this palace is located opposite the National Museum of Romanian History, the headquarters of the National Savings Bank (CEC), the palace is characterized by an eclectic style building topped with a glass and metal dome, its entrance is distinguished by an arch supported by two pairs of columns in a composite style, and its interior courtyards are decorated with paintings by Mihail Simonidi.
