Information about Cave Zeus
Cave of Zeus is located in Kusadasi, in the Aegean region of western Turkey, within Dilek National Park, and is located about 200 meters west of the entrance to the national park. This cave was formed as a result of the erosion of the rock by an underground river, and the cave, which forms a swimming pool, is filled with mineral water of blue and green color, which is a mixture filled with spring water from the mountain, and salty sea water. The depth of 10-15 meters, many local visitors and tourists throughout the year, to bathe and swim in it. According to Greek mythology, Zeus, ruler of the gods of Mount Olympus, was hiding in the cave, to escape the wrath of his brother Poseidon, ruler of the seas, when he angered him.
