Vila Nova de Cervera is a historic medieval castle, with an oval floor plan and eight quadrangular towers. Of particular note is the Pelorinho, composed of the elegant Door of the Barbican, the Door of Betrayal and the Chapel of Our Lady of Agoda. The majestic Gothic atop a hill surrounded by the urban grid of Vila Nova de Cervera, it stands out on the left bank of the Minho River, with great views.
