This castle dominates all the valleys of Puig Neulius. The construction of the Requessens Castle dates back to about the 10th century, and it was not long before it was involved in an important battle, the Requessens War (1047-1072). Unfortunately, only a few remains of the building that stood during this historic event remain, with only the parts in the upper section remaining. After that, the castle was re-created to look as much as possible from the original building in terms of exterior appearance. Inside there are rooms decorated in a modern style inspired by the 19th century, and there are also gardens and lakes, with a distinctive and intricate water system.
