Santa Barbara Castle is located on Mount Pinacantel in Alicante, from which you can see the entire bay and the surrounding landscape, which gives it great strategic value, but what is striking is the shape of the rock on which the castle is located. Cara del Moro, which means "Moro's face", is associated with an ancient local legend indicating that this face belonged to an Islamic caliph who did not keep his promise not to kill his daughter's Christian lover.
