Tell Birsa (Birsa) was formerly an ancient Phoenician fortress dating back to the third century BC, and according to local legends, it was inhabited by the founder and queen of Carthage, Queen Dido (Alisa / Alissa), which is part of the archaeological site of Carthage, which is visited by many tourists every year. From the front of the hill, decorated with the ruins of the beautiful castle, you can see the Museum of Carthage, the ancient ports and the blue Gulf of Tunis.
