The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is where American banknotes are designed and printed; It is a government agency and part of the US Treasury; Although it does not mint coins, it does produce special printed products for treasury, official invitations, identification cards, and other official government security documents. Visitors can take a guided tour of the facility which includes walking along an elevated gallery to look at the millions of dollars being printed; It is worth noting that access to the site is only by guided tour.
