Undoubtedly one of the most impressive sights on the south coast of England, the British Airways i360 control tower is a must-see on any trip to Brighton. The 531-foot-tall tower was replaced in 2016, replacing Brighton Well as the city's tallest structure (the wheel has since been dismantled) to great fanfare as the world's first vertical cable car and tallest moving watchtower. Resembling a massive needle (and referred to as a "vertical pier"), the structure's circular observation deck can lift up to 200 people 453 feet for a fantastic view of the surrounding area and over the English Channel. Other features include a tea room and gift shop.
