The Botanical Garden is located on the campus of Pavel Josef Szwarik University in Kosice, and houses more than 4,000 species of plants, including 1,200 cacti, the largest collection of its kind in Slovakia. Visitors can explore the tropical heat in the greenhouses, learn about the rainforest and enjoy the gardens. Expansive in the open air, the garden also includes many interesting thematic exhibits such as an exhibition of orchids, tropical butterflies, cacti, carnivores and more.
