Information about East Slovak Museum
Founded in 1872 as the "Hornorhorse Museum", the Oriental Slovak Museum is one of the oldest Slovak museums. It was built in the Renaissance style in the early twentieth century and was the first building in the city designed to meet the needs of the museum. The museum contains sculptures from Perseus and Vulcan, as well as several exhibitions that reflect life in eastern Slovakia in the Stone Age and the Middle Ages, as well as the "golden treasure" of Kosice, jewelry exhibition, and monetary exhibition.
