The magnificent Catania University Botanical Garden covers an area of 16,000 square meters, and is visited by more than 100 million tourists annually. It is run by the Department of Botany of the University of Catania and is home to a diverse collection (both exotic and domestic) of plants from around the world. The collection of palm trees and succulents is one of its most famous and important collections.
