The botanical garden was originally a small garden that underwent modernization and coordination in 2008, and today it covers an area of 8.41 hectares, and includes various plants from Romania and from different regions of the world with a similar climate to the Banat region, and the purpose of its redesign was to preserve the space for scientific research and dissemination Awareness among the people regarding the importance of the environment, and the municipality added this area to the thirteen parks in the city of Timisoara, which is part of the city's green belt.
