The palace is located at the top of Doi Suthep National Park with beautiful landscaped gardens. The palace was the residence of the royal family in the twentieth century in the winter, and the place to receive state guests. The palace has a European-style design that reminds visitors of Swiss architecture. Although visitors are not allowed to enter the palace, a stroll in the surrounding areas is still great fun. Likewise, if a member of the royal family is inside, it is closed completely.
