It was said in the past that mosques are one of the most important material elements of Islamic civilization, and Turkey followed this saying, to become today one of the countries that includes the most beautiful and finest mosques in the world. One of these mosques, the Beshtepe Mellit Mosque, which is located in the capital, Ankara, was opened in 1987 AD, becoming one of the city's most sacred mosques. The mosque is characterized by an innovative architectural design that combines Ottoman and Seljuk architecture with modernity in design. The outer structure consists of two ornate domes, four huge minarets, and spacious interior courtyards lit by the most beautiful chandeliers. The ceilings are engraved with Islamic motifs and arches.
