The Ben Nevis Visitor Center is a great center where visitors can learn about Fort William and the Nevis picnic area before going on long hikes. There are car parks (not free), and a small cafe where they can have a snack before going on a nature walk. Also, clean bathrooms. The center usually has local residents from whom tourists can learn about the history of the area, hear some stories, and learn about the culture of the residents.
