The Beamish Museum offers an astonishing experience of the sights, sounds and smells of past life in northern England. The twenties of the nineteenth century and the early forties of the twentieth century. The main objective of the museum is to preserve an example of everyday life in the urban and rural North East of England in the period of the Industrial Revolution.
