Basilica Church Senhor de Bonfim is one of the most famous Catholic churches in Salvador, specifically in the state of Bahia. It was built in the eighteenth century on the only hill line on the Itabagib peninsula, in the town of Lower Salvador, and has a unique and different architectural design, where the walls, gilded ceilings and white marble floors give a feeling of awe!
