The Basilica of Santa Croce was founded in the thirteenth century, and is one of the most important churches in Florence. The reason for the fame of this church is due to the presence of tombs in which many prominent Italian personalities are buried, such as Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo and Rossini. Inside the church there are 16 chapels, all decorated with the most beautiful murals, sculptures and statues. The church also contains many statues of prominent people such as the poet Dante and the artist Michelangelo, and a monument to Machiavelli and many other works of great beauty, which deserve to stand in front of it and reflect on its beauty and creativity.
