The city government envisioned Balayoung Park to be a major tree park and tourist attraction in Puerto Princesa. The city government has budgeted an estimated PHP 250 million to develop a restaurant whose main features are a deck overlooking the bay, a children's park, a museum, a cultural library, a water park, a tower, a food complex, an art gallery pavilion, and a fitness park.
