Information about Baghdadi Museum
The Baghdadi Museum is a local historical museum located in the capital, Baghdad, and is one of the most important tourist attractions in it. It was established in 1970 AD, and is located near the Tigris River. The museum narrates a complete history and documents its most important events, as it includes 70 scenes from different periods that it displays using life-size models that show life in Baghdad, especially folk crafts, professions, local customs and street life. The museum was damaged due to the US invasion during the Iraq war in 2003, which caused the suspension of its work, and it was officially reopened in August 2008.
