This sports complex is located 10 meters from the city center and covers an area of more than 18,000 square metres. Construction work began in October 1973 with the aim of creating a relationship between the environment and water. After nearly two years of operation, the complex was opened in June 1975. It consisted of a large Olympic pool and a children's pool. It was decided that its name should be Aswan in connection with the Aswan High Dam (Egypt), which was completed in 1970, and at that time was the largest in the world. Subsequently, in 2003, the reconfiguration of the complexes and the modernization of facilities were carried out. So that all visitors, regardless of their age, can have fun in the water.
