Founded in 1933 on the initiative of a group of local artists, the art gallery in Ruse includes collections of more than 2,770 works of art representing the development of Bulgarian art from the late nineteenth century to the beginning of the twenty-first century, as well as works by foreign artists from France and Germany And Italy, Russia, Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Latvia and others, the exhibition area is about 2,800 square meters divided into separate spaces, allowing the establishment of permanent exhibitions and the organization of about 30 temporary exhibitions annually.
