Built in 1919, this national theater is the largest and oldest in Ostrava. At the same time, it is the largest cultural institution established by the city council. The theater regularly presents various artistic performances ranging from operas, plays, in addition to musical performances. There are two theaters in the building: Antonín Dvořák Theatre, with a capacity of 517 people, and Jiří Myron Theatre, with a capacity of 623 people.
