Ankara Houses - أنقرة: Working hours, Activities, Visitor reviews
Information about Ankara Houses
These are the houses seen in the old settlement areas of the city, especially in the Kaleiçi district. Ankara houses, a few examples of which date from the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, are mostly two-storey buildings made of wood and brick. In the lower courtyards of these houses there are servants' rooms and on the first floor there are rooms in which the owner of the house lives. In general, outside the house includes an open staircase leading to a covered porch with open columns. Geometric, Roman and Ottoman decorations appear on the roofs of houses, on the roof cores and on the doors.
