The Ankara Foundation Museum was built in 1927, during the period called the First National Architecture Period (1908-1930) covering the early years of the Republic. It is one of the early examples with very simple facades without the use of traditional decorations and traditional architectural elements. Carpets, rugs, wood, metal, tiles, leather and manuscripts are displayed in the museum, and there are rare artifacts such as wood from the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, manuscripts from the sixteenth century, tiles and carpets.
