One of the most attractive museums in Avignon is the Musée Angladon, a beautiful 18th century building designed as a house museum according to the wishes of its founders, artists Jean Angladon and Paulette Martin. The museum's mission is to share with the public a lavish collection of paintings and furniture inherited from couturier Jacques Doucet, a pioneer of haute couture, connoisseur and a prized patron of artists and writers of his time.
