Perched on a bridgehead overlooking the river, this historic clock tower was built in 1865 by the ruler of Amasya Ziya Pasha for the first time. It was reconstructed in 2002 and this tower is considered the center of the city. Under the clock tower small necessities, trinkets and handicrafts are sold. It has an important historical value for the people of Amasya and is visited by a large number of tourists and locals due to its distinguished location and vitality and the surrounding landscapes and unique archaeological sites.
