Information about Älvsborg Bridge
The Alfsburg Bridge is a suspension bridge located over the Gotha River in the Swedish city of Gothenburg, and connects the northern and southern part of the city. It was built in 1966, where the Swedish engineer Sven Olof Asplund supervised its design, and its length is about 933 meters. One of the city's most prominent symbols, it was painted green to symbolize the 1995 World Athletics Championships hosted by the city, and it is also worth noting that the bridge served as the finish line for the Volvo Ocean Race.
