Tantora Al-Ula is a sundial (sunday clock) that locals have used for hundreds of years as a sign of time and a sign of the change of seasons. On the first day of winter, the sun’s rays fall directly on the stone sign of Tantora, announcing the return of agricultural activity in the city of Al-Ula, hence the name Winter at Tantora festival, which is held annually in this place.
