The Friday Mosque is known as “The Valley Mosque”, and it is one of the religious monuments of great importance among Muslims. It was the first mosque in which the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, prayed the first Friday prayer for people when he descended from Quba to Medina; It was reconstructed during the era of Omar bin Abdul Aziz, and it was restored and renovated several times, the last of which was during the reign of King Fahd, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may God have mercy on him.
