Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah is the capital of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region located in the historical land of Hejaz. Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah is about 400 km from Makkah Al-Mukarramah in the north-eastern direction. Due to its religious and historical importance, Medina has many notable tourist attractions, the most important of which are; The Prophet’s Mosque, which was built by the Prophet Muhammad, the Qiblatain Mosque, which includes two minarets and two domes, and is distinguished by its white color that gave it a unique beauty, Uhud Mountain, where the historic Battle of Uhud took place, and the Hijaz Station, which contains a railway that linked Damascus to Medina. Among the recreational places in Medina are; The old Medina bazaar where souvenirs are sold, and Yanbu, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the city and is famous for its green nature and for containing a diversified shopping center as well as places for children and families.
