A lighthouse has existed on the island since the nineteenth century, specifically since 1892, and it was built at a high point in the city, specifically in the historical Akrotiri district. This lighthouse can be reached by walking only and the road may take from thirty to forty minutes. Visitors come here to admire the beauty of the ancient architecture as well as to enjoy the majestic views of the ocean and skyline.
