Akobru is a distinctive historical bridge located in the city of Ankara. It was built in 1222 AD by the governor, on the site where the old Baghdad Trade Road passes. It is one of the rare historical works that have survived until today. The bridge was built of cut basalt stone, and there are 7 pointed arches mostly made of Ankara cut stone, and some foreign stones and ancient artifacts were used in the vicinity.
