The fifth fortress was one of the fortifications on the first line of fortresses around the Brest-Litovsk fortress. It was built between the years (1878-1888) AD. It is a pentagonal structure in plan, built of bricks, surrounded by earthworks and a moat filled with water. Behind the fort there are barracks with 11 houses to house soldiers. In the foreground, there is Caponier, a fortress that enables firing in opposite directions.
