Syracuse was one of the most important cities of ancient Greece, a vibrant city of about 125,000 people located on the southeast coast of Sicily, and today overflowing with amazing remnants of its long history, as it was ruled by a large number of peoples after the Greeks, including the Romans, Vandals and Normans, It also has many major attractions, including the port of Syracuse, the old town, the 7th century Syracuse Cathedral, and the Arethusa Fountain. A visit to this city can be divided into two simple parts: one dedicated to archaeological sites, and the other to Ortigia.
