Deir al-Qamar village is located south of Beirut. It is a historical village whose first mention in historical manuscripts dates back to the year 1257AD. This village was the capital of the Emirate of Mount Lebanon during the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. Therefore, visitors will find dozens of Islamic historical buildings in it. The village is also the birthplace of many well-known personalities.
