Belfast is the largest city in Northern Ireland and considered its capital, and it is the fourteenth most populous city in the United Kingdom. Surrounding the northwest of the city is a ridge that includes Cave hill, famous for its basaltic outcrop called the Napoleons Nose. It is the fourteenth most populous city in the United Kingdom. Belfast played a major role in the Industrial Revolution and is the main economic driver in Northern Ireland. Among the Irish linen industry, tobacco production, and ships, most notably the famous Titanic. With a population of 3 million people, it has become the destination for people to enjoy their weekends. Among its most prominent landmarks are: City Hall, Parliament Buildings, Titanic Belfast where the original Titanic was built, Carrick Reddy Rope Bridge, and the beaches of Belfast, which provide tranquility and relaxation for tourists.
