The state of Skikda is located east of the Algerian coast, and is bordered to the north by the Mediterranean Sea. Its geographical location increases its importance in trade exchanges and economic flows. The state also contains enormous tourism potential, including the charming beaches extending from Tamanart to the west and from Marsa to the east, and before the state was Arab. It was in the hands of the Romans, which makes it filled today with historical sites and interesting monuments, such as the Roman theater, the Roman gallery, the Roman cisterns, and the dolmens in Tamalos.
