The state of Relizane occupies a strategic location in the northwestern region of Algeria, and constitutes a very important social and economic crossroads at the regional and national levels and an obligatory corridor linking the west, the coast and the rest of the country. Its terrain varies between the mountains of Dahra and Wancheris and the plains of Mina and the lower Chlef. It is also considered home to a group of sites. Historical, Roman, Phoenician and Turkish antiquities, especially in Mazuna, Ammi Musa and the Citadel.
