The state of Oum El Bouafi is located in northern Algeria, and contains a variety of archaeological sites dating back to many ancient civilizations, including Byzantine, Roman, and Islamic, and the most important of these sites is Ain El Borj. It is one of the oldest cities in the region, in addition to the ruins of Silla, Al-Subaihi Palace, and many other historical sites. It is also dotted with cultural centers and museums that showcase its ancient history.
