The state of Ouargla is located in the southeast of Algeria. It is considered one of the oldest and largest states in the country. It was an important crossroads for commercial caravans and Bedouins coming from the north of the country and the Maghreb towards the Arab countries and South Africa. Thanks to its geographical location and strategic importance, it was inhabited by residents of neighboring regions.
