The northernmost province of Limpopo is a wild land of bush and nature reserves, and the northern parts of the Kruger National Park are known to be located here, making this province prime safari country. Limpopo is also home to one of the country's highest mountain peaks, and these cut-off mountain regions are characterized by river valleys, cliffs and sandstone formations that are believed to have been the ideal refuges for early humans.
