Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate is one of the governorates of Egypt, and it was named after Sheikh Talha Abi Saeed Al-Shazly, owner of the shrine located in the city of Kafr El-Sheikh, who came to it from Morocco in the year 600 AH. The governorate is located in the north of the Arab Republic of Egypt, between the two branches of the Nile along (100 km) along the Mediterranean coast. It is bordered to the west by the Rosetta Branch, with a length of (85 km), to the east by Dakahlia Governorate, and to the south by Gharbia Governorate. The area of Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate is (3466.7 km2), and its capital is the city of Kafr El-Sheikh. The governorate is famous for agricultural and industrial activities and even tourism, which is active throughout the year.
