The island of Corsica is located in the Mediterranean Sea in southeastern France and just above Sardinia. It is full of picturesque tourist attractions, and in addition to its stunning natural scenery and wealth of historical monuments, it also has a sunny climate throughout the year, which makes it a wonderful place to visit. The island's rugged mountains are ideal for hiking and climbing, while its picturesque coastline is lined with charming sandy beaches, and the sparkling Mediterranean waters are ideal for diving, surfing, sailing and swimming. Corsica is also full of history, as it is home to Ajaccio - the birthplace of Napoleon - and has many monuments and memorials dedicated to him, while Bastia has a beautiful old port and a castle worth a visit.
