The region of Central Greece forms the heart of the country's map and is surrounded by water on three sides, with the Ionian Sea and its charming islands located to its west, the Corinthian Gulf to its south, and the Aegean Sea to its east. Despite the vast coastal areas, most of the region is made up of prominent mountainous areas. The scenery of the mountains adjacent to the beaches in this region captivates the eyes and hearts of tourists and creates natural paths for them that allow them to go on adventurous exploration trips accompanied by local tour guides. The Central Greece region also includes a number of archaeological sites dating back to the Greek civilization and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is also famous for its grape fields extending over wide areas of valleys and used for wine production, as this region alone produces the largest percentage of wine in Greece since time immemorial, and legends say It is believed that the god of wine, Dionysus, was born here.
