The Central Denmark Administrative Region was established in January 2007, and it is one of the largest regions in Denmark, consisting of 19 cities. The climate of this region is described as cold in the winter and moderate in the summer, in addition to the diversity of the terrain that gives it vitality on many levels. Its western parts are characterized by coastal dunes and inland coasts. The importance of its central parts stems from its high terrain, which is represented by mountains, forests, lakes and streams. As for the eastern region, it has a high population density and is called the urban region. Central Denmark gains its importance from this wonderful diversity, making it one of the distinctive Danish regions.
