Al-Ahmadi Governorate is one of six governorates in Kuwait, located in the southern part of the country and has a population of approximately 394,000 people. Its climate is known for its hot summers and mild winters, and it is famous for its British architecture. It was named Al-Ahmadi after Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, during whose reign the city was founded in 1946 AD. Al-Ahmadi forms an important part of the Kuwaiti economy, as there are many Kuwaiti refineries and oil fields. The city is famous for many tourist and entertainment attractions such as resorts, hotels, historical and archaeological museums, and beautiful gardens. The greenest place in Kuwait and an ideal place for families. This governorate is known as one of the most organized governorates in Kuwait, and the largest festivals are organized there annually and many Arab and foreign tourists visit it.
