Al-Ahmadi Governorate is one of six governorates in Kuwait, located in the southern part of the country and has a population of approximately 394,000 people. Its climate is known for its hot summers and mild winters, and it is famous for its British architecture. It was named Al-Ahmadi after Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, during whose reign the city was founded in 1946 AD. Al-Ahmadi forms an important part of the Kuwaiti economy, as there are many Kuwaiti refineries and oil fields.
