Information about Zoological Museum
The Zoological Museum was established in 1859 as a division of the Transylvanian Museum, and today it has become one of the largest museums of its kind in Romania. Thus, on an area of only 700 square meters, the public has the opportunity to meet a large part of the animal species belonging to the fauna of Romania as well as the species originating from different parts of the world. The first room of the museum hosts representatives of the main groups of invertebrates such as protozoa, sponges, worms, mollusks, crustaceans and insects.
